Looking Back on 2025 by Mirjam Kertész

As we do at the end of every year, we pause for a moment to look back on the past months and be grateful for everything we have achieved together. For Coninvest, 2025 was not only about stable growth and new milestones, but also about approaching professional challenges with personal commitment, with every member of our team putting their best knowledge and enthusiasm into their work, and creating experiences together with our partners.

Projects that are close to our hearts

This year, we were once again able to work on projects where every little detail counts and where engineering precision, gastronomic experience, and functionality come together in perfect harmony.

The complex project at the CATL factory canteen in Debrecen perfectly illustrates our team’s organizational and engineering skills. The kitchen technology developments carried out at the Mercedes-Benz and BMW factories have once again proven that efficiency and employee comfort can go hand in hand.

We have also made our mark in the world of five-star hotels. Every detail of the kitchen and dining areas at the St. Regis Budapest – Klotild Palace combines luxury and functionality. The breakfast kitchen at Hotel Vinifera and the dining area at Hotel Essence Pogány are perfect examples of how gastronomy, premium interior design, and technology can be combined into a single inspiring experience.

It was also a pleasure to create in traditional hospitality: the renovation of Déryné’s iconic kitchen at the beginning of the year gave the team new momentum, while the design of the “Backstage” area of the Pappas Mercedes-Benz Showroom proved that Coninvest not only thinks in terms of kitchens, but is also capable of innovating in complex experience spaces. The Papi Farm project is particularly close to our hearts: the combination of nature-oriented hospitality and gastronomic experience became a reality with the implementation of the complete kitchen technology concept – from the design to the final details.

Workshops and professional adventures abroad – when work becomes an experience

The Sóskút showroom remained a hub of creativity and inspiration in 2025. The season was opened by the experts at Marrone Custom Cooking, who introduced architects and designers to the world of new kitchen technologies and gastronomic experimentation.

A live demonstration of the Josper wood-fired grill with chefs from Barcelona introduced participants to the world of smoke and embers, and many have since been boldly experimenting with new flavors and techniques at home and in their kitchens.

The history of Berkel ham slicers was all about respect for the craft: Erik Luca, an expert from La Bottega del Restauro in Parma, not only brought the legend of the brand, but also the knowledge hidden in the details, which our guests listened to with curiosity.

For Hungarian confectioners, the presentation of the FIREX Cucimix mixer was an exciting moment, as the unique combination of automation and craftsmanship always provides new inspiration. The presentations of RATIONAL iVario and iCombi Pro provided an inspiring experience for both catering professionals and à la carte restaurateurs.

During the Moretti Forni Xperience Pizza Days, our partners were able to try out the latest pizza ovens under the guidance of Marco Fuso from London and Nicola Roberti from Italy, who brought with them both the best of the profession and an unforgettable experience.

Two groups of high school students also visited us for professional workshops: one was led by László Ruprecht and the other by master confectioner and trainer Tamás Wolf, who provided exciting, hands-on training, thereby supporting the future of the profession.

In addition, we organized numerous other events: manufacturer training sessions, partner meetings, and technology demonstrations, all of which were held in the spirit of knowledge, creativity, and community building.

Development from the inside out – so that everything runs smoothly

The year 2025 was not only about external projects, but also about continuously improving our internal processes, team training, and the infrastructure of the Sóskút showroom.

The professional year did not only take place at home. Our colleagues participated in international training courses and professional training sessions, and we went to the internationally renowned INTERNORGA trade fair in Hamburg, which showcases the latest trends, innovations, and solutions in hospitality, the hotel industry, foodservice, and professional kitchen technology every year. We visited the Middleby Germany showroom in Munich to bring the latest knowledge back to Coninvest’s everyday life. We visited the MKN showroom, where we were able to take a closer look at the latest industrial solutions, and we were inspired by the Vinoforum in Rome, where we were able to experience the world of wine and gastronomy in the light of international trends. The Rolling Pin event in Austria was also an exciting experience, where we saw innovations in the gastronomy industry in action at Europe’s second largest professional event. Of course, we didn’t miss the HOST exhibition in Milan, where we discovered the latest technological solutions and international innovations in hospitality – we returned home filled with inspiration.

Planned developments for 2026 include further training for our team and the modernization of our internal communication, project management, and time management systems so that we can respond to our partners’ needs even more quickly and efficiently, while maintaining our usual high standards of quality.

Looking ahead to 2026 – an exciting journey ahead

Next year, we will continue on the path we set out on in 2025: sustainable solutions, technological innovations, and closer partnerships will be the focus. In all our projects, our goal is to provide experience, knowledge, and joy – for our partners and our team alike.

Thank you – because without you, none of this would be possible

We would like to thank all our partners, customers, designers, and colleagues for their work with us this year. Thank you for staying with us in 2025.

We wish you peaceful, inspiring holidays and a 2026 full of shared successes and excitement!

Best regards,
Mirjam Kertész
