When we opened our showroom in Sóskút, I was curious: how do the biggest players in the market do it? What is it like when the giants of kitchen technology show us how they envision the future of catering?
I found the answer in Munich when I walked through the door of the Middleby Germany Innovation Kitchen. My first impression? It felt like I was in the heart of professional kitchen innovation.
It wasn’t just machines we saw. We saw working kitchens in action: the crackling of the Josper grill, the speed of the Pitco fryer, and the versatility of the Firex multifunctional cooking equipment all made it clear what it means when the knowledge and experience of 64 manufacturers come together in one place – 28 of which are on display here in Munich.
What really impressed me:
- that Middleby does not just sell appliances, but complete, coordinated kitchen solutions,
- a commitment to sustainability, energy efficiency and digitalisation,
- and they make it interactive and experiential – this is not an exhibition, but a living laboratory where the future of the profession comes to life.
And in the process, I realised that although our showroom in Sóskút is smaller, we share a common purpose. To inspire. To educate. To show how technology can be put at the service of gastronomy.
I learned a lot from the Middleby Germany team that day. A warm welcome, lots of knowledge and lots of inspiration awaited us. On the way home, I thought: how good that we are working for the same thing – to give HoReCa professionals the space to dream, learn and grow.
And the next time someone asks me if the Middleby Innovation Kitchen in Munich is worth a visit, I’ll just say this: it’s a must-see!
