This spring, Graz has once again become the gastronomic capital of the world: the Rolling Pin, one of Europe’s most inspiring and versatile gastronomic events, has been held again in 2025. Coninvest’s colleagues visited the event, which attracted thousands of visitors over an area of 5,000 square metres and brought together the cream of the culinary world – chefs, pastry chefs, bakers, bartenders, catering and hospitality professionals.
The Rolling Pin has grown to become Austria’s largest catering event and the second largest gastronomic industry event in Europe after the Madrid Fusión in Spain. Over two days, more than 100 world-renowned chefs, sommeliers, bartenders and gastronomic experts shared their latest techniques, food and drink visions and philosophies with the visitors and more than 9,000 visitors enjoyed inspiring masterclasses, live demonstrations and tastings. The 5,000 m² exhibition space gave visitors the opportunity to get up close and personal with the latest technologies, ingredients and innovative manufacturers.
Year after year, Rolling Pin sets an example of how to present gastronomy from an exciting new angle. One of the performers was the Healthy Boy Band, a young, vibrant gastronomic trio who are reimagining the world of fine dining by combining culinary art with community experience and education.
“The Healthy Boy Band’s performance was one of the highlights of the event for me. They are formative thinkers, full of fresh ideas that are both artistic and professionally outstanding,” said Dániel Kanyik, sales manager of Coninvest.
The event wasn’t just about cooking: Liquid.Stage was specifically designed to showcase the best of beverage making, cocktail culture and the bar world. World-leading bartenders gave talks and demonstrations, sharing their knowledge on the new dimensions of drink creation.
But Rolling Pin is not just for senior professionals.
“I think it’s an outstanding event in the world of gastronomy. Not only for those who are active in the profession, but also for all those who are studying in the field or about to choose a career. This year we met many enthusiastic young visitors who came to the event as part of a study trip, which shows how inspiring this platform can be for the next generation,” said Dániel Kanyik.
Rolling Pin is more than just a professional expo: it is an inspirational space where the best in the business share their experiences, learn about new things, and where new ideas and collaborations are born. It is important for Coninvest to be part of these dialogues – it is the way to offer up-to-date, truly relevant solutions in the field of kitchen technology.
