There are projects where, upon completion, not only does a new restaurant open, but the success of a collaborative effort is also worth celebrating. Cova Budapest is exactly that.
At the invitation of Coninvest, we raised a toast together with our partners, architects, interior designers, professional collaborators, and members of the press at the newly opened Cova Budapest, which opened its doors within the historic walls of the Matild Palace.
During the evening, Mirjam Kertész, the founding owner of Coninvest, welcomed the guests and recounted the history of Milan’s Cova, which dates back more than two hundred years. The brand has since become one of the world’s most renowned names in luxury gastronomy and, as part of the LVMH Group, operates nearly forty locations. It was a special pleasure for us to have played a role in bringing this Budapest chapter to life.
This project is also special to us because our collaboration with the owners of Matild Palace began years ago. We previously worked on the hotel’s kitchen technology solutions, and now we have once again been entrusted with the realization of Cova Budapest.
The interior design concept was the work of the Turkish firm Yeşim Kozanlı Architecture & Interior Design, while Coninvest was involved in the execution of the interior design elements as well as the implementation of the kitchen and bar technology. The project presented numerous exciting technical challenges that could only be overcome through close collaboration between the designers, contractors, and partners.
However, this evening was not about the technical details, but rather about the people whose joint efforts brought this special space to life. It was great to reconnect with our partners, share the story of the project with one another, and celebrate its successful completion together.
More details to come
In the coming weeks, we’ll be presenting the Cova Budapest project in greater detail. We’ll talk about the design process, the unique technological solutions, the interior design details, and how this world-class dining venue came to be in one of Budapest’s most iconic buildings. We’ll share behind-the-scenes secrets, professional insights, and a detailed project presentation is also coming soon.
