Coninvest at the SIRHA Budapest competitions
SIRHA Budapest is one of the most important professional events in the Central European hospitality industry. For a few days, the exhibition brings together players in the fields of gastronomy, kitchen technology, and the food industry: chefs, pizza makers, operators, suppliers, and decision-makers. In addition to the stands, presentations and professional programs, one of the most exciting parts of the event each year is the various competitions, where representatives of the profession test their skills in real-life situations.
At these events, technology is not merely displayed as an exhibit. The equipment operates under real kitchen conditions, under continuous load, and this is where its reliability is put to the test.
This year, Coninvest did not participate in the SIRHA Budapest exhibition with its own stand. Instead, it was present by providing the complete technological background for two competition venues, where the equipment was not used for demonstration purposes, but operated in an active working environment.
Professional pizza infrastructure at the FUPI competition
Coninvest provided the entire pizza kitchen infrastructure at the venue of the Hungarian Pizza Association (FUPI) pizza competition.
The competitors’ work was supported by the following equipment, among others:
- Moretti Forni pizza ovens
- Mecnosud dough mixer
- Viessmann cold storage
The technology operated under continuous load throughout the competition, providing a stable environment for the pizza chefs.
Between competitions, professional workshops were held by Nicola Roberti, Moretti Forni’s corporate pizza chef, and Attila Balázs, Moretti Forni’s ambassador in Hungary. During the demonstrations, they presented the operation and possibilities of modern pizza technology through live baking.
High-capacity kitchen processes in the public catering competition
Another important professional area at SIRHA was the public catering competition, where completely different challenges come to the fore: large-volume food preparation, efficient organization, and fast and reliable kitchen processes.
Here, Coninvest set up a fully functional MEIKO dishwashing system in the VIP area, which demonstrated the operation of high-capacity dishwashing technology in real-life work processes. The competition was also supported by freezers and blast chillers.
It was important that the equipment was not just there for display purposes: it performed real tasks and was in continuous use.
When technology isn’t on display, but at work
One of the greatest values of such professional events is that kitchen technology steps out of the world of showrooms and demonstrates its performance under real-life conditions.
For Coninvest, SIRHA is therefore not just an exhibition, but also a professional collaboration and practical demonstration. It is an environment where the equipment works just like in a real kitchen.
This approach also defines the operation of our showroom in Sóskút, where technology can be experienced not in display cases, but in action. The SIRHA competitions are actually the best examples of this philosophy: equipment shows its true value when it is used in a real kitchen environment.
