Nowadays, the word terrace is no longer just associated with our usual images, it has somehow become an additional meaning for everyone. The terraced places were appreciated, full of life again. Every year there is some guiding trend in the design of outdoor furniture, but this year we notice that – like Artúr Gombóc’s relationship with chocolate – it can be square, it can be round, it can be round, it can be solid or colorful, now we love them all for something. From simple, clean lines to retro to old, romantic pieces or “zero waste” furniture, there’s something to love. Of course, we also like to avoid the eclectic effect without uniqueness, but we can mix different materials, shapes and colors tastefully, especially if there is enough space for it.
When designing the spaces, taking into account social distancing, the previously bustling terraces now require redesign, but in many cases the view of the separated garden furniture of the garden room is not good for the eye. Because no matter how we settle, it exudes emptiness. With cozy room dividers, on the other hand, we can throw up the space perfectly, choose between several design elements to our liking and also reduce the feeling of emptiness quite a bit with these little “tricks”. Our favorites are the small paravans which we can conjure up intimate boxes and pleasant little corners on our home terrace as well as in the garden of an elegant restaurant. If you want a little luxury in the garden, you should definitely get wireless luminaires, which intimate light provides a pleasant atmosphere. The various shapes and cheerful colors of the accessories can also help us to toss up the slightly “dusty”, old-fashioned garden room or terrace. On the other hand, we can also think about the dividing elements if we want to make our nude-colored furniture a little fuller or, on the contrary, we want to emphasize the beauty of the pastel shade even more. In terms of upholstery, materials that are easy to clean are very practical, as furniture is exposed to dirt in many cases as well as to the elements. Thus, a complete living room can be arranged on the terrace, or even an elegant lounge corner in the restaurant’s garden area. “Artúr Gombóc’s selection of chocolates” is a storehouse of possibilities, but who would think that plastic, which is a swear word, can also be trendy? Especially if recycled! The plastic that would be polluting waste – covering our planet with rubbish – is now done as a fashionable chair, and we can also choose beautiful colors, which are also made in an environmentally friendly way in addition to the basic green prototype. The production process is a recurring cycle, as all waste is recycled and does not burden the environment. And we have reached our cane again, consciousness! The last few months are a lesson for everyone. We were also inspired by the process to redesign, but change is sometimes good because it inspires new actions. What we can do is pay more attention to each other, manage our resources more carefully – including our own bodies – and our planet, which we treat so vulgarly sometimes. Why is it so important to mention this and why does it arise on this topic as well? Because every little step leads to a bigger one and – in the case of a restaurant, for example – today we expect a different from the terrace of the place than before. The terrace is “only” the first step. Let1s go outside!
